Community Guidelines

Three ideas sit behind every rule here: be kind, be honest about who you are and what you made, and credit the people whose work you build on. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask yourself whether you would be comfortable explaining it to the person it affects.

These are the bright lines. Breaking one usually means immediate removal of the account.

• No child sexual abuse material, ever. No sexualisation of minors in any form, whether real, drawn, edited or AI-generated. We remove it, preserve evidence and report it to the authorities and to NCMEC.
• No credible threats or incitement to violence, and no glorification of violent extremism or terrorism.
• No non-consensual intimate imagery, no sextortion, and no threats to share private images.
• No encouragement of suicide, self-harm or disordered eating. If you are struggling, we would rather help than moderate. Reach out and we will point you to support in your region.
• No human trafficking, exploitation or sale of people, weapons or drugs.

• No harassment. No targeted abuse, pile-ons, unwanted sexual advances, or following someone across the platform to keep at them.
• No hate speech. No attacks, slurs or dehumanising content aimed at people because of caste, religion, ethnicity, nationality, race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or serious disease.
• No doxxing. Do not publish someone’s home address, phone number, government ID, financial details or private medical information.
• Respect privacy. Do not post identifiable images of people in private settings without consent, and take down content when someone in it asks you to.

• No impersonation. Parody and fan accounts are fine when clearly labelled.
• No engagement manipulation. No bought followers, vote rings, bot networks, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour.
• No spam. No mass unsolicited DMs, no repetitive replies, no bait links.
• No serious misinformation. We act on content that could cause real-world harm: medical misinformation, election manipulation, and fabricated crisis content. We prefer labels and context over deletion where we can.
• Disclose paid partnerships. If a post is sponsored, gifted or affiliate, mark it as such using the built-in toggle.

SimplyMe gives you AI tools on purpose. Not everyone is a copywriter, and that should not stop you posting. The deal is transparency:

• Label synthetic media. Images, video or audio that are substantially AI-generated or AI-altered must carry the AI label. Our tools apply it automatically; removing or hiding it is a violation.
• No deceptive deepfakes. Do not generate a real person saying or doing something they did not, outside of obvious satire that is clearly marked.
• No synthetic voices of artists without their permission.
• AI-written captions are welcome. Using AI for words, hashtags or alt text needs no label. Using it to fabricate facts about yourself does.
• No AI-generated résumé fraud. Inventing degrees, employers or certifications is grounds for permanent removal from the professional side of SimplyMe.

• Post what you made, or what you have permission to post.
• Credit remixes. If you build on someone’s design, track or article, tag them and use the remix feature so attribution travels with the post.
• Respect music licences. Only use tracks cleared for your kind of account. See music licensing.
• Do not resell platform assets. Creative Studio templates, fonts and stock assets are for use in your work, not to be repackaged and sold.
• Copyright complaints are handled under our Copyright policy.

• Keep your résumé truthful. Overstating is a violation; fabricating is disqualifying.
• Recruiters: contact people about real roles, disclose who you represent, and do not use candidate data for anything else.
• No pay-to-play referral schemes, and no charging candidates for a referral.
• No discriminatory job posts. Requirements must relate to the actual job.

Some content is allowed but limited. Nudity in art, medical or educational contexts, graphic imagery with news value, and discussion of self-harm for recovery or awareness may stay up behind a sensitivity screen, excluded from discovery, and restricted for accounts under 18. Gratuitous gore, sexual content for its own sake, and shock content are removed.

We aim for proportionate, explainable action rather than silent deletion.

1. Label or limit: a warning screen, reduced distribution, or comments restricted.
2. Remove the content and notify you which rule it broke.
3. Feature restrictions: temporary loss of posting, DMs, live audio or monetisation.
4. Temporary suspension: typically 24 hours to 30 days for repeat violations.
5. Permanent removal: for severe harms, or after repeated violations.

Context matters. We weigh intent, severity, whether the target is a private individual, and your history. Reviews combine automated detection with human moderators; anything that would remove an account gets human review.

Every enforcement notice includes an appeal link. A different reviewer looks at your appeal, and we aim to respond within 7 days. If we got it wrong we restore the content and clear the strike. If you are in the EU you also have the right to escalate to an out-of-court dispute settlement body under the Digital Services Act.

Use the report option on any post, profile or message. For urgent safety issues write to safety@simplyme.app. For anything else use Report a problem. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
